Q1: Can the PoolSmart™ RGBCW Light Fixture operate independently?

A: No. The fixture must be used with a PoolSmart™ RGBCW Controller to function properly. Standalone operation is not supported.

Q2: How many lights can one PoolSmart™ RGBCW Controller support? How to synchronize multiple lights in my pool?

A: Each controller supports up to 2 PoolSmart™ RGBCW Light Fixtures. Exceeding this limit may damage the controller.

For pools requiring more than 2 fixtures:

  • Use additional PoolSmart™ RGBCW Controllers
  • Group all controllers under the same "Group" in the SmartLife App
  • Enable "Group" for unified color control
Q3: How to connect two PoolSmart™ RGBCW Light Fixtures to a single controller?

A: Simply use the included Y-splitter (provided in the PoolSmart™ RGBCW Control Box packaging):

  • Connect the male end to the controller's 7-pin output
  • Attach both light fixtures to the female ends
Q4: What is the correct wiring procedure for PoolSmart™ RGBCW system?

A: Wiring instructions (also detailed in the included manual):

1. Input Side (120V AC):

  • Black wire → Live (L)

Q1. My Device Fails to Connect to App (Pairing Failure), how to solve this problem?

A: 1.1 Wi-Fi Network Issues

Possible Causes:

  • Router does not support 2.4GHz band (our devices do not support 5GHz)
  • Weak Wi-Fi signal or severe interference
  • Router has MAC filtering, AP isolation, or DHCP disabled

Solutions:

Check Wi-Fi Band:

  • Access router settings, disable "Dual-Band Merging," and enable 2.4GHz separately
  • If the router only supports 5GHz, replace it with a 2.4GHz-compatible one

Improve Signal Strength:

  • Move the smart light closer to the router (within 10ft) and retry pairing
  • Avoid interference from microwaves, Bluetooth devices, etc.

Check Router Settings:

  • Disable "AP Isolation" (prevents device communication blocking)
  • Disable "MAC Address Filtering" (prevents device blocking)
  • Ensure DHCP is enabled (for automatic IP assignment)
